Golden Hope offers this program free of charge. As a nonprofit organization, we run on trained volunteers and contributions from the community.

As stated above, we run on trained volunteers. It is priority to us that there is an adequate number of facilitators for each age group so that the groups run effectively and safely. We will accept as many individuals as we can safely allow.

A family can start the process for participation as soon as they are ready. We believe each person/family grieves differently and they are the best judge of when they are ready to deal with the death through a support group.

We believe the grief journey to be highly unique and different for each individual and family. The individual and family may make the decision when to start and stop their peer group support.

Regular attendance is vital for building a supportive environment in grief work. A family is expected to call if they must be absent. If there are routine absences the spots may be given to a family on the waiting list.

Fill out the Family Intake Form (under the Forms Tab at the top of the page). Once received, you will be contacted by Golden Hope to obtain more information. We will schedule your family for an orientation and answer questions you may have about Gold Hope Ministries. After orientation, your family will discuss participating. If interested, you complete the application forms that will be sent to you. When we receive the completed application, we will call you with further information for starting the program.

No- this is peer to peer support. Golden Hope is a safe place for individuals to find emotional, social and educational support from other participants and facilitators. If you believe you are in need professional counseling/therapy please seek out a licensed professional.

Golden Hope is an organization that is run by trained volunteers. The more facilitators we have the more families we are able to serve.
